"In charismatic fashion, Kreinik brings alive the world of Talamh and Breen Siobhan Kelly's journey." - AudioFile Magazine
A new epic of love and war among gods and humans, from Nora Roberts—the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Awakening.
The world of magick and the world of man have long been estranged from one another. But some can walk between the two—including Breen Siobhan Kelly. She has just returned to Talamh, with her friend, Marco, who’s dazzled and disoriented by this realm—a place filled with dragons and faeries and mermaids (but no WiFi, to his chagrin). In Talamh, Breen is not the ordinary young schoolteacher he knew her as. Here she is learning to embrace the powers of her true identity. Marco is welcomed kindly by her people—and by Keegan, leader of the Fey. Keegan has trained Breen as a warrior, and his yearning for her has grown along with his admiration of her strength and skills.
But one member of Breen’s bloodline is not there to embrace her. Her grandfather, the outcast god Odran, plots to destroy Talamh—and now all must unite to defeat his dark forces. There will be losses and sorrows, betrayal and bloodshed. But through it, Breen Siobhan Kelly will take the next step on the journey to becoming all that she was born to be.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Best-selling author Nora Roberts brings the everyday world and the realm of faerie magic close together in her feel-good fantasy adventure, the second book in her Dragon Heart Legacy trilogy. (Don’t worry if you missed the first one—which you’ll definitely want to go back for—because the first chapter will get you caught right up.) Schoolteacher Breen has gotten used to her new ability to move between modern-day Philadelphia and the mystical Talamh, and she’s eager to bring along her quick-witted BFF, Marco, as she travels from the world of humans to the lush, green land of dragons and mermaids. Once there, Breen rekindles a very hot romance while also training to face down a menacing foe. We loved following Breen’s quest to fulfill her destiny and protect her newfound people by harnessing her amazing powers. The Becoming is a passionate tribute to finding your inner strength.

Irish dreams and fae tales
Second in the trilogy, I was excited to listen as the love story developed between Breen and Keegan. Breen learns of her ancestry and the powers she holds that might save the worlds she is connected to. She trains for battle hoping to defeat the evil intent upon destroying her, the people she loves, and the worlds she lives in.
The Becoming by Nora Roberts
The Dragon Heart series is probably my favorite series of all times. Each book is well written, entertaining and an escape I have and will enjoy over and over again.
I wrote the review above and posted. Recently I read a review criticizing the narrator and I want to mention that I was so impressed with the narrator, Barrie Kreinik, I have looked for other books she has narrated. Her ability with the different voices, accents and difficulty with the Irish words and pronunciation is remarkable. I wasn’t read the story - I was part of the story.
Second book even better than the first
I'm really enjoying this series. I just completed this installment and I'm moving on to the next one. I'm excited to find out what unfolds. I adore all of Roberts's trilogies that revolve around magic and the journey of becoming extraordinary.
