“Lightning-paced…a breakneck thrill ride.”—The Wall Street Journal
Lincoln Rhyme was once a brilliant criminologist, a genius in the field of forensics—until an accident left him physically and emotionally shattered. But now a diabolical killer is challenging Rhyme to a terrifying and ingenious duel of wits. With police detective Amelia Sachs by his side, Rhyme must follow a labyrinth of clues that reaches back to a dark chapter in New York City’s past—and reach further into the darkness of the mind of a madman who won’t stop until he has stripped life down to the bone.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Has it really been over 20 years since quadriplegic detective Lincoln Rhyme grumbled his way into our hearts? The first book in Jeffery Deaver’s best-selling series pits salty criminologist Rhyme—and nervy New York police officer Amelia Sachs, who does the investigating in places Lincoln can’t—against a cunning serial kidnapper with a fetish for replicating historical crimes. Narrator Connor O’Brien guides us through this dark and disturbing world, personalizing each character with mannerisms and accents and creating an atmosphere of tension and dread. The Bone Collector isn’t for squeamish listeners, but press play if you’re a fan of creepy thrillers with a bone saw–sharp edge.

Great story
I would have rated the book 5 stars if it didn’t use so much foul language in it! The suspense was perfect and the story was flawless. I saw the movie of The Bone Collector, but the book far outdid it! Jeffery Deaver did a wonderful job with this book, very worth getting and I want to read the rest in the series too, highly recommend!
Poor Audio
The voice quality is so bad that it is difficult to listen to.
But the audio...
Great book. I love Jeffrey Deaver and the Lincoln Rhyme series. However, this narrator is terrible! He is as monotone as my High School science teacher. It was really difficult to suffer through him to hear the story. :(
