The Bone Thief

Prepare to be terrified by the Bone Thief: a twisted killer who’s out to steal hearts. In every sense.

Gemma Adderley is finally ready to leave her husband, after years of suffering and abuse. She slips out the door and into the night, hand in hand with her seven-year-old daughter Carly . . .

What happens next is a puzzle that has Detective Phil Brennan baffled.

The next day, little Carly is found wandering the streets of Birmingham, helpless and alone. She grips her teddy, too traumatized to tell profiler Marina Esposito how she got there. Or what’s become of her mother.

But the gruesome truth will surface.

Now Gemma’s corpse is dredged from the murk of a city canal. Her heart’s been torn from her chest, leaving nothing behind but a gaping wound.

Who stole Gemma’s hopes of a new life away from her toxic husband? Detective Phil must find the missing piece before the Bone Thief strikes again . . .
