Publisher Description

I ran into Derek while trying to escape the neighbor from hell.

Instantly, we hit it off. Since he’s only here for three months and the microbrewery leaves me little time for commitments, it’s the perfect setup for a fling.

He’s adventurous, challenges me, and he just gets me from the inside out.

With our expiration date quickly approaching, I’m left to wonder...will my heart ever be the same without the boy upstairs?

A Fabulously Entertaining Story & Listen🎧

This fabulously delightful romance novel is a standalone story set in “The All American Boy” series, the common factor of the series is each story takes place in Bear Creek, Colorado, and by the feel I got from this book I am looking forward to visiting this amazing place again. “The Boy Upstairs” is Derek & Tessa’s story, Derek’s home is in Seattle, he is self employed and his own boss, his latest client is in Bear Creek and he plans on living there for three months and found a short-term apartment rental to live in. His first night there is a sleepless one, there is too much banging going on with the next door neighbors, giving up on trying to get sleep and not wanting to hear the couple next door go at it anymore he goes out to start his day. On his way out he runs into Tessa, the girl who lives below them, they get to talking and really hit it off. Tessa owns “Bedknobs & Brews” the local brewery, she tells Derek about the live music and how great the band is and he goes to check it out himself and to spend more time with Tessa. The chemistry between these two was off the charts but neither one of them was looking for anything serious or long term. Tessa is busy running her business and Derek is leaving in three months so they agree to enjoy their time together, they also agree to remain exclusive. Neither one of them took into account their feelings or the possibility of falling in love. This is a beautifully plotted romance novel, the story grabbed my attention right from the start and captivated it the entire book. It is a low angst, feel good story that pulls on your heartstrings and makes you smile, the characters are likable, relatable, easy to connect with and care about. Amanda Shelley, thank you for this wonderfully enjoyable and entertaining story, I loved every minute and every word.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Amanda Shelley could not have chosen a better cast to bring her characters and story to life, Connor Crais and Vanessa Edwin talented narrators and versatile voice performers. They had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable in every role they played and just as I pictured the character to sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured the characters’ emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.
