Publisher Description
Widely respected as a civil libertarian, legal educator, and defense attorney extraordinaire, Alan M. Dershowitz has also been a passionate though not uncritical supporter of Israel. In this book, he presents an ardent defense of Israel's rights, supported by indisputable evidence. Dershowitz takes a close look at what Israel's accusers and detractors are saying about this war-torn country. He accuses those who attack Israel of international bigotry and backs up his argument with hard facts.

Unfortunately Very Relevant
This is a must read if you want both a full history of modern Israel, and a comprehensive argument for the establishment of a Two-state answer between Israel and Palestine. Even though this book was written in 2003, it continues to be, unfortunately, very relevant. I was surprised that the anti-Israel/ anti-Zionist camp has been so breathtakingly intellectually lazy. The arguments from 20 years ago remain true for over 90% of this book. I strongly recommend this book, as have so many others over the last two decades.
