The Communist Manifesto

The Communist Manifesto is a political booklet by German philosophers Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. It was contracted by the Communist League and initially published in London 1848, when the revolutions began to flare up. It introduces a rational approach to the class struggle and the troubles of capitalism and the capitalist mode of manufacture, rather than a forecast of communism's prospective future forms. It also briefly highlights their ideas about capitalist society eventually being replaced by socialism.
