With Sasha as the proclaimed Mage of high ranking power, she can't just slip under the carpet to a peaceful existance. With Dominicous' and Toa's help, Sasha and Stefan must face the trials coming up. Proving themselves is the easy part. Getting out with their lives becomes the challenge.

Treacherous counterparts!
Sasha and Stefan have to go to the Council, a meeting they have been planning to attend for months. As the proclaimed Mage, she’s met a small coven of witches and continues preparations with Dominicous' and Toa's special brand of support. They still have to turn in the white mage Trek and Andrix for punishment but should have killed them. She will also be supported by the shifters who have given her friend of the pack status. Her butt tingling warnings start immediately after they arrive at the Council meeting in 2 RVs and a fleet of SUVs. After arriving for testing, the challenges start against both Sasha and Stefan. The evil, conniving acts of betrayal against them start small and escalate during the 3 weeks culminating in a race for both their lives and the shifters, and magic users.
My favorite parts of the book is the bantering between the shifters, Charles, Jonas and Sasha. I like that she has become really close to Ann and Tim after battling the demons. Jonas has redeemed himself too but is still a sarcastic curmudgeon.
Stefan and Sasha’s connection is so hot, it is obvious they will be together and monogamous despite any taboos!
