Good story line, mediocre writing
I liked the story and the characters. The only problems were that the writing was very choppy and unfinished. She uses a lot of incomplete sentences and phrases and it can get very annoying and tiresome. Honestly, what is so bad about the characters speaking in complete sentences? The next problem is the narrator. He isn't awful, but he's not very good either, which makes me question the audio recording company because so far I've only heard 3 good narrators out of dozens of books I've listened to. The man sounds like a mixtures of Keanu Reeves and something else, and it's not very appealing. So, if you can get past his sometimes annoying voices, and you don't mind the choppy writing, it is a good book.
love the book; HATE THE AUDIOBOOK!
The book was so good I devoured it in a day. When I saw the audiobook I bought it and was sooo dissapointed. The narrarator makes the hero sound like a bad combination between a drag queen and arnold schwarzenegger with no emotions and very little pitch change. While the book gets a definite 5+ stars, the audiobook was very poorly read.
Waste of money
I can't believe what a waste of money this book was. I wish I could get a refund, I can't even listen to it. The story is is weak at best and the narrator is worse. What a waste of time. Average rating is 4 1/2 stars??? WHAT. Want a good audiobook purchase the Black Dagger Brotherhood series....that is worth the money!!
