Publisher Description
The Lords of the Underworld return in this enthralling tale of an immortal warrior determined to win and the beautiful seductress he can’t resist.
Possessed by the demon of Defeat, Strider cannot lose a challenge without suffering unimaginable pain. For him, nothing stands in the way of victory. Until Kaia, an enchanting Harpy, tempts him to the razor’s edge of surrender.
Known among her people as The Disappointment, Kaia must bring home the gold in the Harpy Games or die. Strider is a distraction she can’t afford, because he has an agenda of his own - steal first prize, an ancient godly artifact, before the winner can be named. But as the competition heats up, only one prize will matter - the love neither had thought possible.

lords
For those following the Lords of the Underworld series, this is a great continuation of the story. You find out the outcome of Kaia & Stryder's match-up and get a great teaser of the other lords (Cain & Paris) as well as a taste of William's story. It leaves you wanting more and more...gotta wait now till the next book to see how Paris' journey ends, but for those of you who love the lord of Defeat, it won't disappoint! Just be prepared to be left hanging on the other lords...Also, I love that they kept the same narrator...makes it easier to follow the characters...
Love all of the books
I've read all of the Lords of the Underworld books and now I can add the audio books to my collection. Max Bellmore's voice is so soothing. I suffer from insomnia and these books help me fall asleep. They also make the long commute to work enjoyable.
Thanks Max...can't wait for the next book.
Great book-annoying narration
I could not stand to hear the narrators swallowing and spit in his mouth for another second! I like that he doesn't use a weak pathetic voice for women as most men do, but I got so fed up and grossed out by that sound that I ended up buying the book instead. Seriously he would take pauses just to do it! Gena Showalter does it again though! Her and Kresley Cole are my favorites and this book didn't disappoint!
