Love and nitpicks
Overall I enjoyed this read for many different reasons. The love story between Dani and Jameson, the ability to talk about difficult topics without it feeling forced, the representation of grief. However I did have some nitpicks. The male voice actor is sometimes very hard to listen to. Which was weird because when he wasn’t reading as Jameson. He was actually quite nice. My other and main nitpick was the conflict of the entire story. One thing I can not stand is lying. Especially when it’s prolonged for no reason at all. I understand the reasoning behind the conflict, and actually like the reasoning. I just wished it wasn’t the main conflict because the lying felt worse as the story progressed. That I couldn’t finished the book for a minute. But I came back finally finished. And I didn’t care for the apology that was given. Because they were already forgiven before the apology was gave, and I just think it could have been better. All of this to say I enjoyed the other parts of the book that didn’t involve the main conflict. I do prefer the first book way more than the first.
So fun!
