Wonderful story about relationships that bring out the best in the couple.
The show ruined me, still a worthy read
Though the show was so good it made the story seem watered down, it was still worth the push through to finish, as the story had slight differences and great quotes to draw from
Just watch the TV show.
Only focus on Daphne and Simon and their incredibly toxic relationship. Doesn’t have any of the fun queen Charlotte from the show which was sad. Simon is sexiest and incredibly unlikable, Daphne is a selfish brat who has no respect for other’s pain and thinks she knows best. Neither of them were redeemable. The only enjoyable parts were when she was with her family. The mother was smarter and funnier in the book than she was in the show and her brothers always put Daphne’s wellbeing and feelings first (unlike the show where Anthony was a controlling jerk and tried to marry her off). This book was incredibly cheesy, sexist, had childish characters and stupid lines that left me banging my head against the table. Just watch the show,, at least in the show the sex screens don’t make you roll your eyes.
