Why this narration??
I have to echo the first review. I'm about two hours in and I'd probably enjoy this more if I were reading it rather than listening to it being read - this narrator reads like it's storytime for kindergarteners. The inflection used for all dialogue is unbearably cartoonish. Bizarrely corny in a way I haven't encountered in an audiobook before. This might've been fine for a different genre, but it's a terrible miss for a horror novel. I can't finish this book.
Terrible narration
Honestly, I can’t say anything about the writing, or the story because I couldn’t get very far in at all. I simply could not tolerate the narrator. My experience of the way he read the story was as if I was at circle time in kindergarten, listening to my teacher, reading us all a book.
Exciting book!
I couldn’t put this book down. The characters were likable and the plot full of twists and turns.
