Publisher Description
"The best book I have read this year, hands down." Goodreads Top Reviewer
Four years ago, I lied. I stood in front of the police, my friends and family, and made up a story, my best one yet. Everyone believed me.
I wasn't surprised. Telling stories is what made me famous. Fifteen bestsellers. Millions of fans. Fame and fortune.
Now, I have one last story to write. It'll be my best one yet, with a jaw-dropping twist that will leave them stunned and gasping for breath.
They say that sticks and stones will break your bones, but this story? It will be the one that kills me.

The Ghost Writer is a dark, emotionally heavy story with an unforgettable reveal — but it’s not without flaws.
The premise is compelling, and once the truth finally comes out, it hits hard. The subject matter is disturbing, heartbreaking, and powerful, and the payoff in the final stretch is absolutely worth experiencing. When the story clicks, it really clicks.
That said… the middle drags. And not in a “necessary slow burn” way. It felt repetitive and stalled, with too much circling the same emotions instead of moving the story forward. This wasn’t careful setup — it was a pacing issue. The same impact could have been achieved while keeping the reader more engaged.
Still, the final third redeems much of that frustration. The emotional weight lands, the revelations reframe earlier chapters, and the story ultimately leaves a lasting impression.
Worth the read — just be prepared to push through a sluggish middle to get to a strong, memorable finish.

This book was absolutely incredible.
Boring Listen
This was very difficult to listen to due to the narrators monotone voice and bad accents. The story was ok, but I had a hard time staying focused and engaged.
