Interesting book that still holds true
First published in 1984 and revised 4 times; it’s an awesome book that illustrates the points with a great story. What’s more interesting is the callbacks to this book in reference to numerous books from the early 2000’s more specifically software development and project management. Yes The Goal discusses manufacturing and yes it has crossed over perfectly for various other applications. It took reading five other books to realize how important this book really is to modern efficiency and lean production in almost any field.
Educational, Enthralling, and Triumphant
The title of my review describes it best without ruining the story. As a business undergraduate I was introduced to this book by my managerial accounting instructor and truthfully it helped bridge the gap between economical decision making and accounting. Truly an inspiring story I would recommend that brings life to accounting 👏👏👏
Impactful
This book discusses the components of efficiency in an easy-to-understand approachable way. I highly recommend this book and it reads quicker than you’d expect!
