Narration is Bad: “SAYs” Made Me Quit
The story is pretty good, but I’m only about 1/3 of the way through and I’m going to stop now because no matter how hard I try, the female narrator always saying “SAYs” instead of “Sēhz” is something I just can’t stop focusing on. Anytime the female narrator starts, I dread hearing it. I’m relieved when she instead uses words like “commented” or “interrupted” and then she’ll drop the word “SAYs” and I want to throw down my device. I can’t understand how the people editing this let that fly. Even on sale at $2.99, I’m finding this book to be an enormously frustrating waste of time.
