Beautiful
I have been an avid reader my whole life, and this book made me cry because it was the first time I saw myself represented in literature. I read this back in college, and it has remained one of my favorite books. It is simple, deep, and gorgeous. Unfortunately I don’t like the reader’s voice. I would recommend the actual book.
Warning about the audio version
Listen to a clip of the reader’s voice before purchasing the audio version. I found her almost intolerable. There are some interesting character vignettes in this book but I had a hard time appreciating them because of the voice.
Loved it
