The Hunger Games movies are fantastic, but we still keep coming back to the books. That’s because Suzanne Collins’ cautionary tale of a near-future dystopian state where the powerful enjoy the spectacle of the powerless viciously fighting each other feels more chilling every time we read it. Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen’s struggles to support her mother and sister—and her entry into the barbaric, state-sponsored fight to the death—are presented in Collin’s matter-of-fact tone, making them even more disturbing. Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany’s engrossing narration shines a light on each character’s unique personality, heightening the drama and dread.

The hunger games
The narrator Tatiana Maslany made this book listening awesome. I won’t buy the next ones on audio until she has narrated them all ! Believable and forceful in her telling , you feel like you’re there. I’ve read the series and much prefer this venue of these book. Can’t wait for the others to be produced !!
