Before Big Little Lies made her an international sensation, Liane Moriarty put an unusual spin on the love triangle story. Hypnotherapist Ellen O’Farrell helps her patients cope with emotional problems, but her own track record with relationships is pretty grim. All that changes after she falls for charming widower Patrick. Unfortunately, he comes with a lot of baggage, specifically his ex-girlfriend Saskia, who has been stalking Patrick ever since they broke up. Narrator Tamara Lovatt Smith adroitly handles Moriarty’s signature blend of pointed comedy and steadily increasing tension, which culminates in a twist we never saw coming.

Good but
Good but could have ended a little earlier. I mean all the additional information was nice but it kind of dragged on. But over all great listen. You feel for all the characters
Surprisingly good
Having read the reviews I wasn’t expecting much especially since LM books have been a hit or a miss for me in the past so I always worry they will be disappointing. This was interesting, followed the authors’ style and tropes of course but I found it more mature and less gimmicky than others -also she didn’t punish her FMCs with an undeserving end like she has done in the past. Overall a quite easy, yet not shallow or boring read about life’s traumas, setbacks, and all kinds of rebounds. Narrator was great.
Great story
I listened to this book while on a road trip. It’s a great book. It made me giggle, cry & think about things we (or I) never allow myself to stop &.consider.
