Returning to Russia from a sanitarium in Switzerland, the Christ-like epileptic Prince Myshkin finds himself enmeshed in a tangle of love, torn between two women—the notorious kept woman Nastasya and the pure Aglaia—both involved, in turn, with the corrupt, money-hungry Ganya. In the end, Myshkin's honesty, goodness, and integrity are shown to be unequal to the moral emptiness of those around him. In her revision of the Garnett translation, Anna Brailovsky has corrected inaccuracies wrought by Garnett's drastic anglicization of the novel, restoring as much as possible the syntactical structure of the original story.

Voice changes
If you chose this book it is not because you chose it on accident. You’re probably committed and want to read it. The only issue I had listening is the three readers of the book.
I enjoyed the first reader. However,
around 70% into the book the voice changes for the 1st time. This 2nd reader is a little harder to understand which will throw off your experience. We all know at this point no one is going to stop listening after investing all this time. My advice: Hold strong.
Around the 80% mark of completion the narrator changes a 2nd time who is more engaged and easy to listen to.
For the price it’s still a good buy.

LOVE the first narrator. But the not the second—the change is very off putting.
