Publisher Description
The Iliad, together with The Odyssey, is one of two ancient Greek epic poems traditionally attributed to Homer. The work is commonly dated to the 8th or 7th century BC, and many scholars believe it is the oldest extant work of literature in the Greek language, making it the first work of European literature. The story concerns events during the 10th and final year in the siege of the city of Troy by the Greeks. This version has been translated and set into English prose by Samuel Butler.
Customer Reviews
It was good
I got the actual Iliad and then was going to follow along with the audio, however they were different translations and I found it easier to just read the actually book. But if you are just listening to it one tape without the book I think it is really good!
This was useless and money wasting
This audio book does not go along with my book or any other book that I have found. In addition the preview and info provided gives no evidence of as to what version the audio book is based on. This makes it impossible to know if it does match your book until you purchase it. It was a waste of money that will be of no help to you.
