Captivating
The detail, love and attention to history and the memoirs of the individuals is worth the read. Definitely word for word like the movie.
Meh
Not my favorite book. There are a lot of characters in the beginning and it is hard to keep track of. My main problem though is that the audio version isn’t split by chapters. I can’t tell where I am in the book.
Great storytelling
I loved the fictional accounts of the men who fought at Gettysburg. It focused a lot on the confederacy and Lee’s army. It has lessons in leadership and psychology. Loved this book especially getting inside the heads of these men.
