I've loved Ronan King for years, but the billionaire security mogul has every reason to hate me for the losses he's suffered at my family's hands.
Yet when I'm in danger, Ronan is the one who comes to my rescue. He whisks me off to his penthouse and swears to protect me.
I finally have a chance with the man I've always wanted. But with a sinister enemy closing in, can I stay alive for long enough to keep him?

The narration ruined an otherwise good book
The narration ruined an otherwise good book… the voice lowers for all of the characters’ voices, which makes it difficult to differentiate between characters in the dialogue. She also, on occasion, uses a higher voice for the men randomly, which is confusing in a one on one conversation between the main characters (a man and a woman) when his voice is suddenly higher than hers. Also, quite a few mispronounced words and sometimes uses the wrong word. The one that comes to mind is she “lives” with someone but pronounces it with the wrong meaning.
It’s not overall terrible but just an ongoing mild annoyance.
The book itself is good, I’d give it 4+ stars!
Narration is horrible
Giving it 3 stars because the story is good, maybe great but the narration is horrible! I seriously cannot get over the last of difference in tone between female and male pov. In fact the female voice sounds exactly like the male so it’s hard to follow the story. Then you have sections where the narration sound’s automated.
Narration is atrocious
I was expecting more spice, but the story was so good I overlooked that and unfortunately suffered through the narration. The reader constantly gets the male and female voices mixed up and it’s hard to follow because of that. She also struggles with some basic pronunciation which makes no sense because she sounds American, so it’s not like it’s lost on a second language issue. She is not doing this author any justice as she’s making a really good book almost unbearable.
