Don’t buy abridged versions!

There was an unabridged version. I’ve missed out on an extra 11 hours of book. My life is a lie.

I listened to the abridged version ten times. I wondered why the second book seemed so much shorter than the first. And where ppl were getting some of these details.

Second only to Jurassic Park...

This novel is once again continuing the extraordinary and amazing tragedy that destroyed Jurassic Park, the park of children's dreams, a tropical paradise, a vacation unlike any other... but this new island is different. The dark-side of Hammond's park. This novel is a fantastic sequel to Jurassic Park, and the film doesn't do it justice. Personally, I didn't like this reader as much. I have another unabridged version of this audiobook, read by George Guidall, and that is a work of art, only beaten by the first novels unabridged audiobook read by William Roberts. Scott Brick seems to go really monotone with ALOT of this version, where as George Guidall reads this book with real passion. Still earns a 5-5 anyway! Must have for Jurassic Park fans!

It’s ok

Crichton didn’t want to do a sequel and you can tell. Expectations for an author like him were always, specially after Jurassic Park. Out of all of the books by Crichton that I’ve read this is my least favorite. Though there’s a lot of action towards the end the first quarter is just boring, and the monologues by the characters are tedious. Two of the main 4 adult characters are insufferable, so at times I was actually rooting for the dinosaurs
