Publisher Description
An early Agatha with romantic heroine, Anne Beddington, up against an unknown evil tyrant. Great fun as the mystery progresses from England to on shipboard. A charming change of pace for Agatha fans from Poirot and Marple. An American narrator.

Better versions out there.
This version must be a test of AI reading technology. The computerized accent is a little off, and the constant music score in the background gets annoying.
Only interesting as a curiosity
This MUST be one of her very first efforts as a very young author. It’s overly wordy, overly complicated and full of preposterous cliche characters. The men, especially the “romantic” leads are wooden and they speak like Natty Bumpo, with the full range of male emotions from A to C. Certainly shows her progress as an author. It’s a very long way from this addled brained young adventuress to Miss Marple.
Annoying!
I do not recommend this audiobook. I love Agatha Christie audiobooks and have purchase many. This one has an annoying sound riff which plays in the background during the entire book and after a while that was all I could hear. Add to that the fact that it is read by an American who constantly mispronounces place names. I wish I could get my money back,
