Winner of the Hugo Award

"The single most resonant and carefully imagined book of Dick's career." --New York Times

It's America in 1962. Slavery is legal once again. The few Jews who still survive hide under assumed names. In San Francisco, the I Ching is as common as the Yellow Pages. All because some twenty years earlier the United States lost a war - and is now occupied by Nazi Germany and Japan.

This harrowing, Hugo Award-winning novel is the work that established Philip K. Dick as an innovator in science fiction while breaking the barrier between science fiction and the serious novel of ideas. In it, Dick offers a haunting vision of history as a nightmare from which it may just be possible to wake.

Netflix series is much better

I never have said that the movie is better than the book but in this case, it's the truth. The characters are under-developed and the plot line is weak. Cool concept, so much potential. Oh well!

Defective

This audiobook is defective and will skip or lose parts or chapters when you pause and play. I ended up listening to an oddly chopped up version over maybe 4 hours that just left me confused and disappointed.
The defect might be in the iPhone, I don't know since is the first audiobook I tried on it. Now it will be the last and I will just stick to CDs

Bad audiobook

Great concept, poor execution. Audiobook narrator is also distracting.
