Publisher Description

"The end of the world doesn't happen with a bang. It takes slightly longer than that but not by much. Research projects, Gross Anatomy class, tests, and fancy coffee drinks will cease to be important. The fight for her life will become the only thing that matters."

Reagan McClane is a prodigy med school student on the brink of a brilliant career, but the United States and the rest of the world are headed toward total economic and social collapse. And it doesn't take more than a few hours for mass crime, looting, and pillaging to spread across the country like a plague. A brutal attack at her university leads to a fight for her life before Reagan barely makes it home to the safety of her awaiting grandparents and sisters on their family farm in Tennessee.

Three sexy Army Rangers, one of whom is married to Reagan's eldest sister, will join the McClane family to build their farm into an impenetrable fortress that they will fight to keep, no matter the cost. Reagan will find that defending her hardened, scarred heart against ever letting anyone in again will prove even more difficult than survival as one Ranger, in particular, tries to invade it. The McClane Apocalypse is a story of love, survival, and the importance of family during the worst of times imaginable.

Love the book, YUCK to the narrator

I love the book. The narrator leaves a lot to be desired. The narration is choppy with little emotion or inflection. There is no differentiation in the voices. Sounds like it's being read by a 10 year old; it's just awful. If the book itself weren't so good, I would have returned this and asked for my money back.

Best

I was hooked with the first audio book, then I finished book 2&3 within in a week.
I drive 8 hours a day, so when I figured out that there were 7 more books that were not on audio format it sucked because I just didn’t have time to read, plus I’ve always hated to just read.
But since this in my opinion is the best apocalypse series I’ve ever read, I purchased the other 7 books and found the time. I’ll probably still purchase them on audio as well if Mrs. Morris will EVER get them to audio.
If I had to pick out any bad it would have to be that it took her 5 books for a certain couple to get their relationship worked out. It only took my favorite characters 3 books. Don’t understand why she wrote it like that, but doesn’t matter they are really good reads. I’m reading her new book now and although it’s good, it does not hold a candle to the Mcclane series.
I hate to say bye to the McClane’s.
I wish she’d write another 10 books on them. Hint Hint!!!
