The Message is Excellent; Format is Mediocre
I’m a big fan of the Message and Eugene Peterson in general. I think he had a great heart for the church to become a people of the book and really appreciate his efforts to make the Bible more accessible. He himself encourages people to also engage with other translations in the introduction to the message, so I have no issues with any of that.
The audio format with different readers is also a nice change of pace. Although it is a bit jarring for the main narrator to read every chapter number between the other sub narrators. I’d probably prefer forgoing the reading of chapter numbers altogether, as it tends to disrupt the flow of the story.
The format of this audio book however leaves a lot to be desired. I wish there were a way to navigate the Bible more easily. Adding bookmarks would also be really neat.

No names/titles on anything
We love the Message version of the Bible. When we bought this, we looked forward to using it. However, there are no book titles or chapter numbers or titles. It is a guessing game to find where you want to be in this version of the Bible. Everything is just chapter and then numbers that goes up into the thousands. I wish you could fix this so that there were the traditional book titles, and chapter numbers to help us maneuver around in this Audio version of the Bible. Thanks
