EXTREMELY STRANGE READING OF STRANGE STORY
Reader Chris Hendrie thought Kafka's Metamorphosis was not strange enough. so he gave what has to be the oddest audio book performance on record. Along with caricaturing the dialogue, screaming some lines, shouting others, Hendrie seems to have spliced the rest of his reading. Sentence after sentence sounds like this: "Yet Gregor... HAD... not the slightest... INTEN-tion of....... FRIGHTENING ANYONE.... far less... his SIS-ter!!!" It was compelling at first, then laughable, and I finally gave up. Try some other audio version.
