APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Settle in for one killer vacation listen. These three novellas by thriller master James Patterson will transport you to sunny locales where murder is the last thing anyone’s thinking about—except maybe the killers. In the title story, two newly single Palm Beach residents start a wild, whirlwind romance that puts them on a collision course with death. In “Stingrays,” a beautiful prep-school student goes missing after a private beach party, sending a team of quirky investigators on a mission to find her. “Nooners” shifts the setting to New York’s high society, when the colleagues of a top-tier ad man start turning up dead. Each tale showcases Patterson’s knack for naturalistic dialogue and his talent for mixing suspense and interpersonal drama. And because each novella has a different co-author and narrator, every story here has a unique feel.
Two out of three
Liked the first two stories. The third was a bit tedious and boring.
