A perfect past-time novel for teenagers and young adults.
The Penderwicks novels are a glorious concoction of humor, drama, self-conflict, and coming of age realistic fiction in equal mesures. The author uses enough advanced vocabulary to paint perfect pictures, while being just a tad brief to appeal to younger audiences. The story of Rosalind, Sky, Jane, and Batty thrills and captivates, while also highlighting realistic foes that mingle along with suburban living. The series cannot be complete without Penderwicks on Gardam Street, a literary masterpiece and a glorious read. Make sure to check out the other books in the series and absolutely listen to Gardam Street!
