A young man commits all types of sin, but only his portrait shows the ravages of his life. Oscar Wilde’s Faustian classic. Gothic horror at it's best.

The Picture of Dorian Gray
It's nice that they get it word for word, but the narrator needs some acting classes. He's dreadful, to the point where he pronounces Basil's name as though he were the spice. Not a good recording. No wonder it was so cheap.
The Picture of Dorian Gray
I agree with the previous review. Basil isn't the only name/word the narrator mispronounces. Eton, gondola, Portia....the list goes on and on. The narrator did not do his homework. It's as if he had predetermined voice inflections and employed them whether or not they suited the dialogue. He merely reads the words and adds whatever emphasis catches his fancy. (It's almost always the incorrect emphasis). This reading is pure agony. Poor Oscar Wilde.
The Picture of Dorian Gray
I am thankful that the book is read (in terms of getting all the words right) perfectly, however, the poor narrator really has no clue when it comes to tone, mood or inflection, I'm in the same boat as the previous reviewers! although it's nice to see that there are american narrators out there, However I do not intend to pay to listen to this one mess up a perfect good story again.
