Publisher Description
In the violent country of Ludania, the language you speak determines what class you are, and there are harsh punishments if you forget your place - looking a member of a higher class in the eye can result in immediate execution.
Seventeen-year-old Charlaina (Charlie for short) can understand all languages, a dangerous ability she's been hiding her whole life. Her only place of release is the drug-filled underground club scene, where people go to shake off the oppressive rules of the world they live in. There, she meets a beautiful and mysterious boy who speaks a language she's never heard, and her secret is almost exposed. Through a series of violent upheavals, it becomes clear that Charlie herself is the key to forcing out the oppressive power structure of her kingdom.

Awesome story!
Amazing world-building and plot! Great character growth and I especially adored the relationship between the two sisters.
Great book!
I read this book in a week and i luved it! full fo action and even a little romance (wink-wink) ;) totally worth reading!
All the depth of a stick of celery sans the nutritional value
The author undertakes a few great ideas in this story, but none of them have any bearing whatsoever on the plot. The main character never uses her ability to discern languages in any meaningful way (i.e. overhearing sensitive secrets and the like), and the matriarchal society has no depth or bearing on any part of this world beyond the surface. I expected so much from this. Instead I was given a flimsy, 2 dimensional romance speckled with sci-fi and the ghosts of good ideas.
