I’ve listened to this audio book 20 times!
I’ve listened to this audio book at least 20 times since it came out! Joel Osteen is a God-given encourager for the body of Christ. He speaks about the new man, the Christ mindset (the mind of Christ.) I used to follow Paul Washer and agreed with him when he would attack Joel. I didn’t understand why Joel didn’t focus on sin and hell. One day it hit me. People need a God of Hope! Not a God of rules and threats. There is so much freedom when you lead people to Christ with renewed hope. People that attack Joel are only copying other religious people. People that have suffered and become hopeless see Joel as a life ring used by God. God can use people as beacons of light in this dark world. Joel is one of those beacons. Now Lakewood Church is my home church, and Joel and Victoria are my pastors. I live in the blessed city of Houston, Texas
