Publisher Description
Open yourself to the transforming experience of The Power of Now, the acclaimed bestseller by revolutionary spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle.
To make the journey into the Now we will need to leave our analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. From the very first minute of Eckhart Tolle's extraordinary book, we move rapidly into a significantly higher altitude where we breathe a lighter air. We become connected to the indestructible essence of our Being, “The eternal, ever present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.”
Although the journey is challenging, Eckhart Tolle uses simple language and an easy question and answer format to guide us. A word of mouth phenomenon since its first publication, The Power of Now is one of those rare audiobooks with the power to create an experience in listeners, one that can radically change their lives for the better.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In terms of commitment, The Power of Now is somewhere between using an online meditation app and going deep into the tenets of Buddhism philosophy. Spiritual adviser Eckhart Tolle has a wonderfully soothing voice that avoids woo-woo mysticism—during the course of this book, he reveals his own struggles with depression and an overactive mind, coming across as more of a relatable friend than some kind of guru. The Power of Now positions self-improvement as an ongoing process, not a specific goal…which is probably the healthiest way to think of it.

LOVE THIS BOOK!!!
Love how this book is read by the author. The concepts and content cannot be beat.
Incomplete Philosophy
An interesting book with a few interesting concepts, but I feel that the author started to struggle when he tried to explain the concept of time. I feel like the author was challenged to try to fit more into his moments of transcendence than are actually there, and that his philosophy that he has outlined in the book has many less than useful contradictions that will rob people of their power rather than empowering them with a sense of “now”. But this is my impression, I hope others find the book enlightening.
Stolen Audiobooks
I purchased this audiobook and now it’s gone from my audiobook collection.
