In terms of commitment, The Power of Now is somewhere between using an online meditation app and going deep into the tenets of Buddhism philosophy. Spiritual adviser Eckhart Tolle has a wonderfully soothing voice that avoids woo-woo mysticism—during the course of this book, he reveals his own struggles with depression and an overactive mind, coming across as more of a relatable friend than some kind of guru. The Power of Now positions self-improvement as an ongoing process, not a specific goal…which is probably the healthiest way to think of it.

Listen to it over and over again! Chapter 2 always gives me clarity and positive mindset … Ego runs my life and trying to end it! I do listen to in at a higher speed 1.25, as it’s very slow and makes me sleepy.
