Beverly Cleary’s high-spirited Ramona Quimby has been a favourite since we were kids, and Stockard Channing’s joyous take on all eight of her adventures is an absolute delight. The stage and screen veteran expertly captures each character’s voice: bold and sassy grade-schooler Ramona, her exasperated and prim older sister Beezus, and their loving but long-suffering parents. Channing’s expressive delivery emphasizes Cleary’s whimsical side while also bolstering her pioneering explorations of sibling rivalry and family dynamics. The results are as relatable and endearing as they were decades ago.

My daughter loves Ramona but the wait list for the audio books at our library is weeks to months long. This collection is 100% worth it for my Ramona fan.
My version has easy to navigate Book and chapter breaks - guessing it’s been updated since the older reviews.
