Frosting on the cupcake
Zane and Willow's relationship seemed like a distant friendship for the last several years until Zane returns to town asking her to be his fake fiancé to help redeem his reputation. Even though Willow thinks Zane is a playboy, she decides to take one for the team since she's harbored feelings for him her entire childhood anyway. Now, we get to find out how Zane really feels about Willow as well. Will this movie star and town bakery owner make a real go of it or keep this casual? You'll have to listen to find out! Great narrator as well. I enjoyed this story and the audiobook narration.
Sweet hometown story
This is a really sweet hometown story of love. Zane couldn't wait to get out of Sweetwater when he turned 18, but he left behind his first and only love, Willow. She gave him her virginity and then he deserted her for fame and fortune. Now he needs her. He needs her to deceive her family and pretend to be his fiancee to fix his reputation.
Wait for it ... That's right. He never stopped loving her and now he wants her for keeps. But is it too late?
John Lane provided a gruff and gritty performance and I loved him as Zane. You could hear tears in his voice during his confession and love in the gritty, growly revelation of love.
A definite must listen. You will enjoy the banter and the heavier moments.

I have become a fan of Melissa Foster over the last year and believe me she does not disappoint. If you want a feel good romance with some sexiness added, The Real Thing is IT!!! Believe me when I say that I told my husband he needs to be just as sweet as Zane. Willow was adorable and even though they started on a rough patch, things heated up soon enough!
Zane had me swooning from his words to his actions. I am serious I did not put this book down. The zolt of electricity Zane and Willow have is exciting. I am a huge "New Love" fan. I get the butterflies and a cheesy smile over it and The Real Thing gave it to me. The storyline was great, the cover gives you a perfect idea of Zane. Did I mention I obsessed with the guy :) Just because the book is a feel good romance, you get the zest with the sexy times too.
