APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
The principles of this 1920s classic on financial literacy are so essential, they can still help you put money in your pocket today. Whether you’re battling with major debt or just unsure how to go about building your nest egg, early-20th-century business owner George Clason has the principles to help you take the reins of your economic future. Clason (who’s famous for coining the phrase “Pay yourself first”) offers a series of lessons on finance fundamentals, cleverly framing them each as parables from Babylon, the ancient city-state that was one of the world’s earliest centers of commerce. In these tales, scribes, money lenders, and camel herders explain how they rose from the depths of poverty through timeless principles like saving one-tenth of their earnings, seeking financial advice from experts, and learning how to invest wisely. Narrator Grover Gardner’s confident and compassionate baritone will guide you through Clason’s simple but vital lessons. Give this audiobook a listen, and you can achieve financial security as strong as the fabled walls of Babylon.
I enjoyed the storytelling and more importantly the message of hard work and responsibilities of managing wealth.
I removed a star because the way it was written with the old language made it difficult to follow at times since no one speaks like that any longer.
Over all it’s a good book and I do recommend it
