I loved it
After finishing the first book in the Briar U series, I quickly went to the second book. I had to know who was in the second book. And I was pretty thrilled to read that it was Brenna and Jake. They both made a good impression on me from the first book. Their banter with each other and sarcasm was fun.
Though, this story isn’t entirely light-hearted. There are some emotional moments. There was a great mix, and I loved The Risk. There are so many layers to characters throughout these stories, and I love that. I like not knowing their deepest secrets until they come forward with it themselves.
The Risk is brilliantly written, fun, sexy and just hilarious. I’ve fallen for these characters and can’t wait for the third one. I don’t even care who the third one is. Just give me more of these characters and their stories.
I’m a new fan of Elle Kennedy, and I had never read her previous to The Chase. So, I’m one of those people who will read everything the author writes. I’m not ashamed.
