Stick with it worthy
Okay I wasn't sure for quite a bit. It's a long forest journey. Some monsters and a lot of learning for our girl Silla. And she's got secrets and lies.
We have Queen sending people to hunt for her. The Blood Axe crew... allies or foes? Then love and betrayal. What I do love the the most is that Silla while kept naive really isn't afraid to show her teeth when needed. She can be fierce to the point of surprising herself and the reader. Lots of weaving in this story and I'm really glad I stuck with it.

What. A. Slog. Could’ve cut at least 40% of the first section, and by the time things actually started happening, I just couldn’t bring myself to care about any of the characters.
