Publisher Description

Conor Brady is the hottest man I have ever laid eyes on. Ever. He’s also my new roommate.

In the past few days, I became jobless, homeless, and boyfriendless.

So, I did what any 28-year-old woman with her life together would do: I ran. Far, far away from my life in New York and straight to my big brother’s house in Atlanta.

Only, it turns out that my brother is away on a business trip. And, he failed to tell me that a full-on, godlike hottie—who happens to be a premier house flipper—has taken up residence in the spare bedroom while his enormous new house is being renovated.

There’s a million reasons why I shouldn’t fall for Conor.

But our chemistry is undeniable.

Which means I have a teeny, tiny situation on my hands…

The Roommate Situation is a laugh-out-loud funny, swoony, closed door romantic comedy. Expect some mild language and suggestive jokes alongside sizzling hot chemistry and tension you could cut with a knife—all without the explicit scenes.

A cozy great read

This is a read that you can enjoy, put down and pick back up and continue to enjoy the story days later. Sweet and affectionate

Could have been better.

It was cute. A quick read that didn’t require much. Good characters… had a lot of potential but Jess got a little annoying after a while. Connor was sweet a bit misunderstood… Aiden was funny.

Not even 5 minutes into the book, I’m yelling:
Jess. LET HIM SPEAK!
Overly impatient people annoy me. Some people need to learn the STOP and LISTEN. Quickly you could have saved yourself the first cringey encounter with your now roommate IF YOU WOULD STOP TALKING & JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS and ALLOW OTHERS TO TALK.

Why does every rom-com book have to mention twilight and Taylor swift?
Does everyone seriously ‘cure heartbreak’ to her and need a twilight reference? I don’t mind rom-coms they’re a good slight distraction but then they all go on and ‘copy-paste’ this ‘getting over a break up cure’ it’s a little hard to find a connection to the female lead. In this case Immature Jess… your 28? How?!
Example: >Conner takes Jess to dinner at a rooftop restaurant
J “so do you bring a lot of girls here then?”
[🫤 yes. Cuz a handsome man can’t have a history with anyone. ]
C “…this place is special to me.”
J’s brain: Special. He’s taken me somewhere special.

🫥
Believe it or not most people don’t react at all at peoples menu choices:
J: ‘we want 2 vanilla milkshakes’
Waiter glances confused.
J’s brain ‘that’s right we’re 2 full-grown 30’sh adults and we want milkshakes’
MOST PEOPLE, WAITERS/WAITRESSES don’t care what you order!! 🙄

Jumping to conclusions. You’ve known Connor how long and the first thing you think he wants from a second date is to sleep with you in the house you staged with him. 🙄 okayyy
Because you have a great track record of reading into people and their actions. (6 years in a one sided relationship with a continuously cheating douche is proof)
An “Octo-Date”? WHAT THE HECK is happening? A possible bathroom kiss when you have date waiting for you OUTSIDE. 🫤 Classy.

“I’m too busy being happy and fulfilled in pursuing my dreams”
Is it just me or did that line try so hard to tell us how happy… and fulfilled she is on pursing her dreams 🙃

All in all. It was okay. Would I remember later this story? No… I think it could have been more but it just meh stayed in place.

TLD ya ,

Tired

Jess does not evolve at all. She continues to assume the entire world revolves around her and everyone’s out to get her. She lashes out and attacks others character and then excuses her own. Once or twice is human nature. But 8 hours of this and I’m sick of it. Every 5 seconds she’s right back to the “woe is me, no one would ever love me” bit.
