The Royal Book of Oz

The Royal Book of Oz is a fantasy book by Ruth Plumly Thompson. It is the fifteenth book in the Oz series, and the first written by Thompson. The Scarecrow is dismayed when Professor Woggle-bug informs him that he has no family, so he goes back to the cornfield where Dorothy Gale found him, so he could trace his "roots." When he doesn't return, Dorothy and the Cowardly Lion set up a search party in order to find him. They have several strange escapades while searching for the Scarecrow.
