Brutal
As a book about emceeing, you would think they would have an actual narrator reading the book. However, this is not the case. The narrator is an AI reader, which makes this audiobook extremely hard to listen to. The book itself does provide valuable information. There is still much to be desired. If you’re looking for a book on how to open an emceeing business, and how to advance in how to phrase things, this may be the book for you. When I think of emceeing, especially that of the name being savvy, I think about inflection, how to pitch your voice at the right time, storytelling, gesturing, etc. The list could go on with what this book is lacking. In my opinion, this is truly 101 education and not something an experienced emcee should read to become “savvy” as the title leads you to believe.
