The Seven Storey Mountain is the extraordinary spiritual testament of Thomas Merton (1915-1968), a man who experienced life to its fullest in the world before entering a Trappist monastery. By the end of his life, he had become one of the 20th century's best-known and beloved Christian voices. This autobiography deals...not with what happens to a man, but what happens inside his soul.

this book is a classic, i enjoyed the audiobook version as i was able to listen to it at work. it is well read and the 2 1/2 hours seemed to go by very fast. i plan on listening to it again soon as i feel there is much more insight i can get out of it. if you have an interest in the monastic life and a mans journey into his own spirituality i don't think you'll be disappointed in this.
