I loved it and would be 5 stars but....
I loved the book! The intensity, the action, Chase’s storm smarts, Nicole’s animal smarts, and Rashawn’s street smart combined are amazing! The other bonus is that Mr. Smith obviously did his research on hurricanes and animals. The only thing I had a problem with when I was listening to it, was that all I heard was the word “said”. I’m 12 almost 13, I’ve been writing essays since 6th grade and one of the things my 6th grade English teacher said to do was use different words for speaking. For example, instead of “‘It’s super rainy!’ Cindy said ‘no kidding’ John said” it could be “‘it’s super rainy!’ Cindy exclaimed, while the wind screamed. ‘No kidding’ John acknowledged”. As much as I loved the book, listening to the word “said” repeated over and over again just annoyed me. Otherwise AMAZING book! Great job!
