Publisher Description

Frontier Justice is the first book in the post-apocalypse Survivalist series by Dr. Arthur Bradley. (Series Order: Frontier Justice, Anarchy Rising, Judgment Day, Madness Rules, Battle Lines, and Finest Hour).

The Superpox-99 virus has wiped out nearly the entire human race. Governments have collapsed. Cities have become graveyards filled with unspeakable horror. People have resorted to scavenging from the dead, or taking from the living. The entire industrialized world has become a wasteland of abandoned cars, decaying bodies, and feral animals.

To stay alive, U.S. Deputy Marshal Mason Raines must forage for food, water, and gasoline while outgunning those who seek to take advantage of the apocalyptic anarchy. Together with his giant Irish wolfhound, Bowie, he aligns with survivors of the town of Boone in a life and death struggle against a gang of violent criminals. With each deadly encounter, Mason is force to accept his place as one of the nation's few remaining lawmen. In a world now populated by escaped convicts, paranoid mutants, and government hit squads, his only hope to save the townspeople is to enforce his own brand of frontier justice.

Halfway across the country, a killer is released from prison. With hopes set on a fresh start, he rescues a young girl desperate to get home. As they travel across the wasteland that once was the United States, they must call upon every bit of strength and courage to survive not only the horrors of the new world but also a violent government agenda.

Great exciting story except for one character

I love this series it really is good and entertaining the action is nonstop and it is very fun to read. That being said I gave this book for out of five stars for one reason.
** spoiler alert**
The character that is the President of the United States in these books president glass, is a total idiot. There is a conspiracy against her to get rid of her as president. I am into the third book and I totally want her to get off or have the conspiracy succeed because of her idiocy. Late into the pandemic she is still asking stupid questions. She is being shocked by things over and over and there is no forethought. she asks other characters leading questions that she can make a decision cause you can tell she would rather not.
Being fair to the author maybe he is trying to show that this president is being somewhat sheltered and she is by the conspiracy but she lacks any desire to try to find out anything on her own.
Please don't let what I've said about this character scare you away from this series. It is a great series and fun I do really really like it!!

I’d pass

Not that excited about this. Very external with not much internal thoughts. This makes the characters very flat. The narrator doesn’t help. I feel like he try’s to read everything as a tough guy and as fast as he can. Leaves a lot to be desired.

Absolutely a Must Read Series

This book and this series is a MUST READ. What I enjoy most about all of the books in this series is the character development. This is a fast paced, enjoyable read. This book is about a post-apocalyptic world where one's knowledge and skills are part of their ability to survive. What are the "tools of the trade" that one might need? The book is fast-paced and very enjoyable. In reading this book (and the others in this series) you will gain new insights and I would argue, skills that could be quite valuable. Let's hope that we never have to live in this type of world, but being prepared means everything. The author will keep you captivated and he will educate you along the way. Throughout the book the author develops multiple characters and multiple plots. In particular, two main characters "Mason" and "Tanner" act as the main characters. They are the leaders and the decision makers. The author also develops other characters who have personal flaws. In one review about this book the reviewer complains about a particular character who represents a woman who is the president. She is portrayed / developed with deep character flaws. The review criticizes the development of this character. I beg to differ here, I am now reading the seventh out of a total of nine books. A good series needs all kinds of characters even ones that are unappealing. Each character is arguably powerful and endearing. This book and the ones that follow are definitely worth reading... you will be entertained and instructed. Look for the nuggets that abound throughout this series. Enjoy.
