Best so far
Excellent portrayals. Accurate and unabridged. Some musical interpretations skip over original text.
This Is NOT the One to Get
Terrible acting and irritating sound effects are just two of the many reasons to give this lame audio version of Shakespeare's last play a whopping thumbs down. There is some pathetic quasi-modern-pop music that does no justice to the lyrics sung by Ariel, who is voiced by a woman who is (to my ears) also reading for the part of Miranda, so there's a lot of confusion when they are in the same scene. To wit, some of the actors speak with British accents, some with New England accents, and some with Keanu Reeves-esque surfer dude timbres. Also, the guy playing Caliban sounds EXACTLY like Stewie Griffin's stepbrother Bertram. I've heard better perfomances on grade school stages.
AMAZING
An amazing tale, has everything a person would need for a relaxing two hours of enjoyment. Songs, love, revenge, and magic all in one!
