A magical story of doors.
A magical story of doors. Doors that open into other worlds. The heroine is January Scholar who does not know about these magical doors. We follow January from the age of seven to seventeen as she discovers her true heritage and the connection to the doors.
Good story, horrible narration
Ugh. I really enjoyed the story, however the narrator ruined this for me. Her voice is grating and her character impersonations are dreadful. My daughters, 10 and 12, shrieked in horror and headphoned up any time I played it in the car en route to soccer games. I regret not reading the book instead.
Unexpected delight!
I didn’t want this book to end and hope there are more books on January Scholar! The plot was unpredictable, the characters well developed. Excellent narration too! I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book.
