The Three-Body Problem is the first novel in the groundbreaking, Hugo Award-winning series from China's most beloved science fiction author, Cixin Liu.

Set against the backdrop of China's Cultural Revolution, a secret military project sends signals into space to establish contact with aliens. An alien civilization on the brink of destruction captures the signal and plans to invade Earth. Meanwhile, on Earth, different camps start forming, planning to either welcome the superior beings and help them take over a world seen as corrupt, or to fight against the invasion. The result is a science fiction masterpiece of enormous scope and vision.

A new spin to the genre

Masterful character development and a great new spin on this genre. I would recommend anyone who loves sci-fi, to give this a shot.

Total nonsense

Idk what else to say, you can’t just slap quantum on absurdity as an explanation. The ending with the unfolding protons and dimensions was simply scientific sounding gibberish. I regret anytime I have spent with the book or Netflix series for that matter

It has an interesting premise

Sort off but spends way to much time explaining literal nonsense and the nonsense is supposed to be what holds it all together. I get that it’s science fiction but good science fiction either doesn’t make up long winded scientific explanation or those explanations at least make sense. This does neither and after listening to this I have probably become more scientifically ignorant due to information pollution.
