Needs updating
I like a lot of what Dave Ramsey is saying. That being said the religious aspect I don’t prescribe to. Also this book was written in 2003 and has had two updates. It’s now 2023 and a 1000 dollar emergency starter fund simply does not cut it. Especially as Dave puts it for a transmission. Most transmissions to replace will cost $1800-$3400 not 1000 dollars. In a day where having a car is a must most people will be without a car. 1000 dollars does not go as far as it used to with inflation at almost 9 percent. I understand it’s to get you started but I think this thinking needs revised. And 12 percent on mutual funds is absurd including fees for most class A mutual funds is ridiculous. You can invest in ETFs of dividend stocks and pay little to no fees. Dave means well and for the most part his stuff works. It needs updating with current times though to suite the average American in 2023.

Omg!!! This is a common, practical & very powerful audiobook to your road to financial success; ( the very wealthy don’t want you to know this valuable knowledge) information to get out of financial debt.
I highly recommend listening to or reading this book because it’s your way to financial freedom forever…
